Yahoo Search Marketing is a great PPC advertising opportunity. If you have not set up your Google Adwords account yet, I would recommend that you start there. Go back to Day 6 – Advertising with Google Adwords.
Once you’ve tested your ads in Google, simply bring over your successful campaigns to Yahoo.
In my experience using Yahoo Search Marketing, the Yahoo PPC traffic tends to be slightly less expensive and converts at about the same rate as Google. However, the overall traffic is significantly less than Google, since it’s a smaller and less popular search engine.
To register your Yahoo Search Marketing account go here now:
http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com
Then click on: Start Advertising Online – Click Here
The signup process is a bit long, and will ask for you to set up an advertising campaign as you go. Don’t let this frustrate you, just make up anything, because you can also edit, delete, pause the campaign you start with and make a new fresh one to actually use to advertise.
Yahoo also has help files and a support department for their Search Marketing if you run into any trouble setting it up.
If you have already set up and run your Google Adwords account for some time, you should have no trouble getting a Yahoo Search Marketing campaign up and profitable.
In using Yahoo Search Marketing, your goal is to double the amount of traffic that you currently get to your website from PPC advertising.
